An ethos established by the company’s founder and Group Chairman, Michael Polledri, we invest in multiple charitable and social projects that benefit our local communities. Our contribution can be financial but it is often practical, through the active engagement of our executives, whose expertise helps ensure that projects succeed. These include Tottenham Carnival, The Willow Foundation for seriously ill young adults, successive Waltham Forest Mayor’s charities and Haringey Police and Community Boxing Club.
We also support the LVE Charitable Foundation, Michael Polledri’s charity to help young people in the Lee Valley Corridor achieve their potential.
Wherever possible, we create or enable, community assets in our developments that benefit the people who live and work in them and contribute to the regeneration of the area. We often do this through partnerships. An example of this is in Hale Village where we have partnered with the Diocese of London, to create St Francis at the Engine Room, a community centre and the first new Anglican church to be erected in London in 40 years. The Engine Room serves Hale Village and the neighbouring Ferry Lane Estate, investing in the lives of local people, helping in practical ways, providing safe spaces for children to learn and play and helping unemployed people learn new skills to get back to work.
